MumSTRONG is a unique, stand alone 8-week program designed to safely and effectively return women to exercise after having a baby or continue supporting safe and appropriate movement during pregnancy.
Working in collaboration with local women’s health physiotherapists and allied health professionals, and lead by qualified MumSafe™ Trainer, Sarah Castley, this program is the only one of its kind in Hobart.
Whether you are looking to continue safely exercising during pregnancy, return to your favourite gym, running or sport postpartum or you simply want to exercise to feel strong (mentally and physically), to keep up with the kids and the daily demands of life - this is the program for you!
This signature 8-week program runs year round (school term based) and is the perfect starting point or transition back to a regular exercise routine.
With a primary focus on restoring and promoting core function. Sarah teaches awareness and correct coordination of breath mechanics, abdominal wall and pelvic floor activation - the game changer for a successful postpartum rehabilitation.
Fundamental and functional movements (movement that mimics daily living), weight and intensity is increased progressively.
The sessions are delivered in a circuit style training format, allowing participants the flexibility to work at their own pace.
This targeted rehabilitation program includes:
Thorough pre-screening and initial 1:1 consultation
Abdominal separation assessment (where applicable)
One hour gym session per week across an 8-week term
Introduction to strength + conditioning training + impact (running, sport)
Individualised and appropriate training options
Supportive environment to exercise
Intimate class sizes that are baby + child friendly
